Possibly the prettiest mascara ever, that's Givenchy's Noir Couture mascara. Now it's also available in a waterproof version, together with the new Khôl Couture Waterproof liners.
I just got into eye pencils again thanks to the Zoeva Graphic Eyes box. So I was excited to try out the Givenchy Khôl Couture Waterproof. Let me first say that both mascara and pencil are very waterproof, but still easy to remove. The perfect combination.
The Khôl pencil is not hard, but also not buttery soft. It's not superblendable, so these can't be used as an eyeshadow replacement. This texture makes it easy to draw smooth lines (also because the pigmentation is great). The pencil can be twisted and comes with a little sharpener at the end of the pencil. So convenient when you want to make a sharp wing for example.
I picked out color 04 Cobalt, because I saw Willow Smith's gorgeous cobalt blue eyeliner look she wore at the Chanel show. Not a big Willow fan, but I loved this look and steal the style and such - I went for this pretty blue shade. (Which looks exactly like the shade Willow wore by the way.)
The packaging of this mascara is so pretty. It's heavy and looks so chic with the white and silver combination - I absolutely love it. This too is very waterproof and it's located somewhere in the higher segments of mascara's I tried. It gives length and volume, and even a bit curl. You can layer it for about 4 times before it gets clumpy. The brush is also nice to work with and applies neat and not too thick.

I'm normally not the biggest fan of waterproof formulas around the eyes, because they're sometimes hard to get off and you don't want to start rubbing it off roughly at night. These stay perfectly throughout the day and rainy weather, and still remove easily with make-up remover. So these products definitely do what they advertise.
What do you think about a cobalt blue winged eyeliner look?
