As you might remember from the big Planet Parfum haul I did a while ago, I also put a new Guerlain product in my shopping cart. You know how much of a fan I am of the météorites line, so I expanded the family with the pretty compact powder!
When you buy Guerlain, you know: packaging on point.
The compact powder has a flat silver box, with the same flowerish mandela design as the box of météorites pearls. I love these packings so much that I just want to collect all of them.
The inside of the box holds a beautiful pastel colored pressed powder and a mirror. Just like with the pearls, you can't see the effect on the swatches. In real life it gives a subtle glow all over your face. I feel like this powder is lighter and less sparkly than the pearls, so you can use this all over your face for a radiant look.
With the pearls I said "Lightly all over the face to set the make-up and catch the light, more heavily on the cheekbones (and nose, chin) to highlight." But with this powder you can't really highlight, it's much lighter than the pearls and even a bit easier to use.
The pink and mauve shades are corrective shades by the way!
Two is a collection, right? My mini météorites collection!
Guerlain - Météorites Compact (€50,50 - available at Planet Parfum)
I have to admit that I used this compact form more often than the pearls. It's a bit easier to apply and also a bit more subtle. They are different (luckily) and I just became a bigger fan by buying this little silver box. On to the next one, the blush pearls! (Christmas wishlist?) Oh and speaking about Christmas, the Guerlain holiday collection is breathtaking. It's simply stunning and everything I want in a holiday collection. I can't wait till it comes out!
