Dior - Skyline (Fall '16) Part 1

Last year I divided the Dior fall collection in 3 posts and this year I'm also cutting the collection in 2, today part 1! There are a lot of products to show you and I have to say that this collection contains some absolute surprises and was even better than I thought it would be.

Diorshow Brow Chalk & Diorshow Pro Liner

Starting with some Dior backstage secrets.
The Diorshow Brow Chalk came in in shade 001 Blonde, not really my shade, but I did try it because I was pretty curious about this product. The texture is -as you would expect- chalky, which makes it easy to fill in the eyebrows and fixate them too. What the brow chalk does is creating a shadow, which fills in gaps perfectly and quick. You can go for a lighter shadow, or more intense.

The Diorshow Pro Liner isn't a secret to me anymore. I already showed you the black waterproof version some time ago. The new color this fall is called 'Pro Grège'. A sparkly bronze-greyish color. This shade is also waterproof, and I love working with it because it's really long-lasting. The only thing is that these liners don't really apply that well on eyeshadow as on bare (or primed) skin, so I always make sure to leave a liiiiiiiittle space and then use the liner.

Fix It Colour

Color correcting is thé trend at the moment. From budget brands (Sleek), to indie (Ofra),... Urban Decay also had color correctors in their fall collection - and now Dior. I already tried the Fix It concealer a while ago, and I loved it. But the Fix It Colour in shade 200 Apricot is not really my thing. This shade should correct dark spots and dark circles and works best on dark skin. (I personally don't really think that there is much difference in fair/medium/dark/... skin tones for a peachy corrector.) The corrector didn't do much for my dark circles sadly, it didn't correct, nor conceal much. I always 'bake' my concealer with banana powder, and the corrector -under my regular concealer- made the banana powder stick to my concealer and turn completely yellow and wet. Weird! This is my least favorite product from the collection. Maybe it's just this shade because I do like the Fix It concealer. There are 3 other correcting shades:

Yellow

To correct shadow zones with a purple hue (dark circles, correct blue lips, redness,...). This shade is recommended for light skin tone.

Blue

The blue filter refreshes dull skin and patches.

Green

The green corrector neutralizes redness.

5 Couleurs Skyline - Parisian Sky

We've landed with my absolute favorite product of this collection, the stunning Parisian Sky palette. Not only does this palette look amazing with the Eiffel structure printed in the powders, but the shades are everything a Parisienne needs. Two light and darker gold-brown hues, one dark-brown, and two lighter shades to finish off the look with a pop.

The pigmentation is perfect and the eyeshadows are amazingly soft and easy to work with. This is one of my absolute favorite Dior palettes so far. It seems like these palettes only get better and better. If you buy one product from this collection: get this palette.

Diorshow Mono Lustrous Smoky

Hello pigmentation! The Diorshow Mono Lustrous Smoky eyeshadows (whew, mouthful) add a whole new level of sparkliness in the Dior range. Shade 684 Reflection is a brown tint with metallic shine and glitter. There is almost no fallout, and the pigmentation is insane. It has a dense, almost creamy texture and applies very easily. This mono wouldn't catch my eye in store, but having swatched this - wow! I really need to check out the other shades, because I'm in love with the formula of this mono.

Dior - Diorshow Brow Chalk in Blonde (€28)
Dior - Diorshow Pro Liner in 062 Pro Grège (€28,50)
Dior - Fix It Colour in 200 Apricot (€37)
Dior - 5 Couleurs in Skyline (€64)
Dior - Diorshow Mono Lustrous Smoky in 684 Reflection (€35,50)

Part 1 definitely already has some stunners, like the palettes. I'm really enthusiastic about these - great pigmentation and easy to work with.

What do you think about these products?

Love, Rani
