Urban Decay - XX Vice Ltd Reloaded

Urban Decay is turning twenty! To celebrate this, UD created the XX Vice Ltd Reloaded palette.
A limited edition that contains 20 shades from UD's past and present.
Sounds good, let's take a look!

The palette resembles the iconic Vice Ltd packaging, but all black and decorated with a big purple UD gem on top. Very pretty! The plastic packaging is pretty light, which is convenient when you're taking it with you - but I also like heavier, more sturdy packagings. The palette has a big mirror inside and comes with a double sided brush.

The palette has 20 shades: 5 vintage favorites, 5 exclusives from previous palettes (like Vice, Vice Ltd, Book of Shadows Vol 2), 7 bestsellers from the single eyeshadows and 3 brand-new ones. Lots of variety in this palette - mattes, shimmer, bright colors, dark colors,...

Suspend: a matte greige color
Oil Slick: matte black with silver shimmers
Roadstripe: light reflecting white with violet-blue undertone. I love this color!
Gash: metallic brick red
Midnight Cowboy: sparkling rosé champagne with silver glitters - love.

501: deep metallic blue with copper sparkles
Shallow: satin light taupe-silver
Laced: matte pink-taupe
Hot Pants: pearly medium pink
Mildew: deep metallic green. A very pretty color, I didn't have anything like this.

Smog: deep copper with bronze glow (also in this Naked palette)
Misdemeanor: deep olive green with green micro shimmers
Freakshow: satin bright purple
Asphyxia: glowing hyacinth with blue undertone. My absolute favorite from this palette, it's a gorgeous color, and I also made the eyelook with it.
Acid Rain: glowy light yellow/green with green undertone

Moonflower: metallic rose gold with golden sparkles
UV-B: bright blue with violet undertone
Goldmine: metallic bright gold
Twice Baked: satin deep brown with gold shimmers
Anonymous: matte creamy peach

For the eyelook I used UV-B in the middle of my lid and my favorite Asphyxia in the inner corner - and a little touch of Roadstripe too. I used Oil Slick as the crease color and in the outer corner.

Urban Decay - XX Vice LTD Reloaded (€53)

At first I wasn't too sure whether I would use these bright colors a lot, but when you have a palette like this, you get inspired to try out new things and bolder looks. For starters I would recommend something like a Naked palette, but when you already own a Naked palette and want something more this would be an excellent addition. Original colors, and all completely different. (It's my first Vice palette, so all of these are also new to me.)

What's reaaaaally cool is that this palette is just the start. To celebrate the 20th birthday of Urban Decay, they will launch the whole year different limited editions of the most iconic products. I'm so curious about what's next!

What do you think about this palette?

Love, Rani
