Dior - J'adore Eau Lumière

Personally I am super picky when it comes to fragrances. I do show you some latest drops sometimes, but I can count the scents that I really, really like on one hand. I always found the J'adore scent to be intriguing, yet a bit 'too old' for me. But when Dior recently launched a brand-new 'Lumière' version of the eau de toilette, I was sold.

The Light Of Gold

Top notes: blood orange, lemon
Heart notes: magnolia, damask rose, neroli
Base notes: vanilla, sandalwood

The fragrance opens with blood orange, a fresh note with extra fruity tone. The flower notes are still present; the light vanilla and citrus-like sweetness of magnolia works perfectly with the beauty of damask rose. Base notes are vanilla and 'Essence of Sandal' from Sri Lanka, a sensual milky note that gives the scent depth.

Completely new is the Neroli. Neroli from Vallauris, a flower from light and perhaps the most beautiful that grows in Grasse, is the newcomer in the world of J'adore. Francois Demachy wanted to accentuate the luminous character of the eau de toilette - so he accentuated the contrasts, modulated the contrasts and renewed the freshness with respect for the flower signature. He brought more light and joy to the scent.

Dior - J'adore Lumière (€81,84 for 50ml)

The J'Adore Lumière really resembles the original J'adore fragrance, but in a softer and more delicate way. The scent remains well throughout the day, although after a few hours it's more of a lingering.

In sum, the J'adore Eau Lumière is a beautiful, delicate yet head-turning fragrance. A perfect J'adore edit for a younger public.

Love, Rani
