There was something missing in the beauty section of the blog: haircare! Today I'm telling you all about some Balmain products: their Texturizing Salt Spray & Silk Perfume.
This is the first time I tried some Balmain products, and I got a few products to try out.
The first two things I want to show you are the salt spray and silk perfume.
The packaging is right up my alley: very minimalist. The kind of packaging I like to see in my bathroom.
Salt sprays are ideal for creating wavy, beach hair. You know, that hair when you're at the beach, and your hair looks so relaxed and surf-proof. Or you can go all Parisian/Caroline de Maigret with it. So of course I was very curious about the salt spray.
And well, the result is... beach hair! I wasn't really sure if it would suit me because my hair isn't straight at the bottom, but I like it! It's not really a look I would wear for winter (I would prefer their amazing volume spray then, review is coming up), but for summer it's perfect. (Excuse the not so summery top.) The spray offers hold and texture and it's also humidity-resistant.
The spray smells really nice, it smells like the Silk Perfume, but lighter and a bit different.
I usually love the smell of hair products, but when you don't like those products or when you just want to have amazing smelling hair: hair perfume.
But next to a nice scent, it also detangles and repairs damaged hair (yay!) and provides a shine. The Silk Perfume is infused with pure Argan oil and silk proteins. I usually use it on wet hair, to detangle it easier and because that way the scent gets to every part of your hair, without overdoing the spraying.
The perfume has such a delicate and light, yet noticeable scent. Not directly, more like when you wave your hair noticeably. I can't really say what it smells like: it's fresh, candy-fresh with a very summery vibe going on. A scent everyone can enjoy I think.
Balmain - Silk Perfume (€24,95 for 200ml)
Balmain - Texturizing Salt Spray (€21,95 for 200ml)
The Silk Perfume is such a fun product, and I liked using it. The Salt Spray is perfect in what it does, but there is a Balmain product that I even like a bit more... Review coming up soon!
If you want to try it out, but not yet commit: they also have travel sizes of 50ml, which only cost about €8!
Have you ever tried out a Balmain haircare product?
