What better to do an a lazy Sunday than treating yourself with a little spa-time? I did exactly the same last Sunday and I tried out a new Clinique mask: the Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal mask.
The new Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal mask is Clinique's first Charcoal mask.
What does it do?
- minimizes pores
- reduces shine
- makes your skin feels fresh and clean
The mask combines different kinds of clay and charcoal powder. What's also important is that it's allergy tested and 100% fragrance free. What does that mean? The product is tested on 7200 people, and none of them got any allergic reactions. If there was one, they would have started all over with the formula.
What does the package say?
Mattifying mask absorbs oil, impurities and environmental pollutants to detoxify skin. Charcoal powder draws out deep-seated debris to purify pores, while mineral clays soak up excess oil. Skin feels fresh, smooth; pores look noticeably refined. Oil free. Use 1-2 times a week. Avoid eye area.
The mask is perfect for skin types 2 (combined dry skin), 3 (combined oily skin) and 4 (oily skin).
The mask dries, but it's not super drying. It doesn't crack (which some masks do). When you apply it make sure you do the T-zone, and don't be scared to use too much! After 5-10 minutes you can rinse it off with hot water. It's best if you use the mask 1-2 times a week.
My thoughts about the mask are great. There are a lot of masks who give you a shiny nose when you use them. This one really has a mattifying effect. My skin came out looking great. I don't have big pores - so I don't know how it works for people who really need it for that purpose - but mine looked even finer. I'm really happy with this mask. Before I use a product I always google reviews, and there were literally no cons about this product to be found.
Clinique - Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal Mask (€31)
I'm loving this mask! I have tried so many bad drugstore masks which made my blemishes come out, that I'm usually not too happy to try out a new one. But this mask is definitely going into the routine.
Do you use masks often?
