Caudalie - Vinosource Moisturizers

Caudalie renewed some of their Vinosource products and because Caudalie and I are inflicted in an endless love story, I had to share these new products with you.

Grape Water

U need. Seriously, I talked about this in at least two other blogposts. This is what keeps me alive during summer, it's so refreshing and it moisturizes the skin. It's enriched with moisturising polysaccharides and mineral salts, providing a boost of hydration, instant freshness!

This is also a perfect dupe for MAC's fix+, You can use this after your make-up and before your setting spray to avoid cakiness and you can spray this on your brush before applying eyeshadow for an intenser pigmentation.

Moisturizing Sorbet

The Caudalie moisturizing sorbet has an immediate and long-lasting calming and soothing action. Anti-oxidant rich with patented polyphenols the formula helps strengthen and nourish the skin from the inside out. You can see on the 'swatches' that this moisturizer has a gel/cream formula, it reactivates the skin’s hydration mechanisms and restores its water reserves. As skin becomes stronger, it feels softer and more comfortable. (Best suitable for sensitive skin.)

Moisturizing Mattifying Fluid

This one is your shine-control ally. The lightweight fluid has an instant matifying effect and a long-lasting sebum-reducing action. It reactivates the skin’s hydration mechanisms and restores its water reserves. The skin is re-balance for a velvety, matte complexion. It's best suitable for combination skins (all year round).

Moisture Recovery Cream

The Moisture Recovery Cream comforts and nourishes the skin deeply. It restores the hydrolipidic film and strengthens the skin barrier functions. Skin feels soft and supple, perfectly comfortable all day long. This velvety and extremely natural cream (97%) supplies dry skin with the exact dose of plant lipid nutrients required for the skin to feel nourished and soft. (Best suitable for dry skin.)

Intense Moisture Rescue Cream

The Intense Moisture Rescue Cream nourishes skin deeply and protects it from drying out. It also restores the hydrolipidic film and strengthens the skin barrier functions like the Moisture Recovery Cream. Skin lipids are restored to soothe the skin and provide comfort. With its rich texture, this cream is the must-have moisture protection for very dry skin all year round or during harsh weather conditions (cold, windy, dry).

Review

I tried out the Moisturizing Sorbet and my testpanel (my boyfriend, mom and dad) tried out the other creams. All of the creams feel a bit sticky for about 2 minutes after you have applied them, probably because of the high percentage of glycerine. (Which yes, makes it a good make-up base.) They smell quite nice, a fresh citrus-grape scent - they do contain fragrance.

The thing I noticed most about my Moisturizing Sorbet is that it really gives me a glow. Almost a highlighter like glow. For me it's not thé best moisturizer I have ever tried, but price-quality it's pretty good.

The Moisturizing Mattifying Fluid was the perfect moisturizer for my boyfriend, who has a normal skin type, but an oily t-zone. The moisturizer mattifies well and hydrates the skin too.

The Moisture Recovery Cream and the Intense Moisture Rescue Cream were tested by my mom and dad and they especially liked how soft it made their skin feel.

All of these moisturizes hydrate well, they do what they promise. You can see on the swatches above that all 4 have different textures, some are very creamy, some more watery/gel like.

Caudalie - Vinosource Moisturizers (€22,40)
Caudalie - Grape Water (€7)

The Caudalie grape water is and stays a beauty staple of mine. The moisturizers are fine, there are Caudalie products that I find better. But these are not too expensive, the price-quality is good and it's really nice that they have 4 different moisturizers that hydrate according to the need of your skin.

I would especially recommend the recovery and rescue cream, because you can't find this kind of intense hydration everywhere.

What moisturizer do you use?

Love, Rani

  2. Die grape water setting spray lijkt me zeker wel wat! Vooral omdat hij je huid hydrateert; dat kan die van mij ook wel gebruiken
