Clinique - Pep-Start & Chubby Lash

A brand-new eye cream and colored mascara, the new Clinique releases!

The Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream is a cream that hydrates, reduces swelling and primes for make-up. It promises a fresh look in 3 seconds. The eye cream contains caffeine, molasses extract, whey protein and soybean protein for a fresh look. It hydrates because of the mix of shea butter and natural humectants. It targets the effects of stress and fatigue with a mix of 7 peptides that keep the collagen level high. It can be worn under make-up and promises that your concealer looks better.

My experience:
The eye cream feels nice and isn't too greasy. It absorbs really quick and that makes it a nice primer. You have to swipe the product in little circular motions around the eyes, but you can also use your fingers of course. It hydrates well, but I don't see any big differences in dark circles for example. It does freshen up a bit, and it's as good as the eye cream I use now, but I wouldn't say that it's a miracle worker. (Never found an eye cream that was.)

The second launch is a new mascara, the Clinique Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara. A mouthful! And I'm happy with this mascara, definitely made my top 10 mascara's. The formula is wet, but not so wet that your lashes stick to each other with one layer. (Luckily, phew.) The mascara is buildable to around 3 layers and it gives my lashes volume and length.

Jumbo Jet is the standard black color, and there are 3 limited editions that are only available at Inno and the Clinique website. Massive Midnight is the color that I have, a vibrant (!) dark blue. Portly Plum is a purple/pink color and Two Ton Teal is a soft leafy green color.

Clinique - Pep-Start Eye Cream (€26,79)
Clinique - Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara in Massive Midnight (€21,30)

Nice new products Clinique! Although the eye cream doesn't work for dark circles, it hydrates well. Exactly what my La Mer eye cream does at the moment, but Pep-Start is 6 times cheaper.

What do you think about colored mascara?

Love, Rani

  3. Gorgeous pictures! I tried the eye cream from a sample and feel the same way. I feel I got better results from elf than the Clinique one.

  6. Ik heb beide producten ook en het is inderdaad een fijne oogcrème, maar verwacht geen wonderen. En ik vind de verpakking niet altijd even handig.
